If a thesis has been written about a mining operation, this can be a great source of background information. Libraries at universities usually keep copies of their own projects in their library stacks. The Government of Canada also maintains the “Theses Canada Portal”. They aim to provide free digital access to electronic theses and dissertations. The literature searches in recent theses can be very useful guides to information. Universities also have a repository for their own theses such as Harvest at the University of Saskatchewan.
